The locks are very close to Latvian - Lithuanien boerder in Ezere and were put into operation in 1982. The lock structure in the form of a maple leaf is a rarity in Latvia.
19th century The Ezere mill lake, established on the Ezere River at the end of the 19th century, is the largest water body in the parish - more than 13 ha. The Ezere watermill, built in 1910, can be seen nearby.
